The Associate of Arts with a concentration in Information Technology focuses on project management, the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), networking, Internet concepts, and design and programming fundamentals. This concentration builds upon the fundamentals of computer and networking design to provide students a foundation for understanding basic programming concepts. Students also will participate in real-world, scenario-based problems and develop functional software applications.
In this concentration, students learn the theories and practices in hardware and software computer support. This concentration features live, online labs to give students hands-on experience in hardware, software, networking and security fundamentals.
The Information Technology/Network Support concentration offers a functional overview of information systems and the analysis, design and security of modern computer networks. Concentration courses emphasize Local Area Networks, Wireless Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks and network security. In this program, students will use live, online labs to simulate network administration tasks commonly used in the IT industry.
