Programs in Depth
Careers in the medical field are in high demand and Salter School has developed three programs to meet the needs of students desiring to enter the field:
- Health Claims Specialist Program - a program that prepares students to code and bill in a private office, hospital, or third party billing setting. Students are taught medical terminology and coding and billing practices.
- Massage Therapy - a training program that helps students develop the skills needed to provide massages to clients. Students are also taught key business principles so that they can run their own massage therapy business.
- Medical Assistant - a certification program preparing graduates for work in a private practice, clinic, or hospital setting. Students will be able to draw blood, give medication, and perform basic monitoring procedures.
Employment forecasts indicate the need for certified paralegals. Seeing the need for a program to train and certify paralegals, Salter School has developed a training program that prepares students to assist legal professionals in the many arenas lawyers deal with daily.
The Computer Networking Management program offers training that prepares students to maintain and administer computer networks. Salter Schools has also included education in the area of network and pc security.
During the last term, students practice their newly found skills in a real world setting through externships arranged by the school.
