Diploma - Pharmacy Technician
The Pharmacy Technician diploma prepares graduates for employment in pharmacies assisting licensed pharmacists in providing medication and other pharmacy products to patients, including assisting directly in the preparation of medication. Pharmacy technician graduates are also trained in providing support to pharmacy aides, who handle routine yet vital pharmacy tasks, including general pharmacy and medical office administration. Over the course of the program, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical terminology; medication names, uses and doses; pharmacy calculations; pharmacy record-keeping; and ethical and legal regulations.
