Associate of Occupational Studies - Medical Billing and Coding
The Medical Billing and Coding Associate of Occupational Studies degree program provides students with a solid foundation in the critical skills needed in health care billing and coding practices. Graduates of the program will be provided with technological competencies, interpersonal strategies, and understanding of the value and importance of correct billing and coding to be a successful professional in the field. They will be prepared to take the AAPC for Apprentice-level certification (CPC-A). Graduates from this program may apply for employment opportunities in medical facilities. These types of facilities include hospitals, clinics, medical offices and health departments.
