The Medical Assisting diploma program is designed for the hard-working students who are willing to gain the skills necessary to be responsible for a range of high-level front- and back-office functions. Medical assistants' responsibilities range from front office work such as appointment setting, telephone usage, insurance billing and coding, and transcribing physician notes, to back office tasks such as assisting in taking vital signs, EKGs, assisting in minor office surgery, phlebotomy and other duties associated with assisting medical professionals.
