Earning an associate degree in Business Administration with an Accounting emphasis can prepare students for careers in either private or public firms as professional accountants and possibly junior executives. The accounting major is designed for individuals who would like to understand the principles associated with financial management and those who are interested in becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Graduates are eligible to sit for the CPA exam.
