Earning a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice can prepare learners for entry-level positions in private security, advancement within criminal justice agencies, or after completion of additional training in an officer's training academy, policing and institutional corrections employment. Our program helps students identify and develop appropriate solutions for criminal justice issues and understand the need to handle their position of authority ethically, logically, and wisely within the parameters of their organization. Graduates will gain an overall knowledge of the various agencies and their responsibilities within the American criminal justice system.
Students in the state of Minnesota are not eligible to sit for the Minnesota Police Officer licensing examination upon completion of this program. Other public and private career options may be available to graduates.
This program may also benefit current officers who are seeking to advance their careers through education.
