HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration)
As a Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) technician, you can become an installer/mechanic as you learn the computerized diagnostics covering commercial refrigeration, gas heat, heat pumps and air conditioning.
The HVAC-R Trades program prepares the student for entry-level employment as an HVAC Technician. HVAC Technicians work as mechanics and/or installers. The HVAC-R Trades training includes a phase in computerized diagnostics covering commercial refrigeration, gas heat, heat pumps, and air conditioning.
As a technician in the Heating, Ventilating, AC and Refrigeration field, you will work to maintain a healthy, comfortable environment in all types of buildings from residential to commercial. HVAC-R Trades program graduates will apply theory and principles learned in the class and lab settings that will help them to develop, select, operate and test heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment. Upon HVAC-R Trades program completion, graduates will be prepared for entry-level employment as an HVAC technician
