Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Carrington College is proud of their program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. The motivated students who are interested in a career in this branch of medicine will work to certify by mastering the following: classroom instruction, labs, and clinical experience in the field. There are a number of exams to pass to be a qualified Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, and they consist of physics and instrumentations, ultrasound, obstetrics and gynecology and more. The dedicated students will be able to learn, with the aid of our programs, to perform sonogrophies that meet the standards of the industry, obtain measurements, compute values, then analyze the results in initial findings for the use of doctors. Massage Therapy
The certificate or associate Massage Therapy program at Carrington College can equip students with a great deal of knowledge in this field. Respiratory Care
Students who invest themselves in learning from our respiratory therapist training will find that Carrington College offers them the chance to gain valuable experience and work to meet the measurements as decided by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). Our program allows the motivated students to gain valuable knowledge about the human cardiac and respiratory systems, anatomy and physiology, both biochemical and cellular functions and the basics of pharmacology and cardiopulmonary medications. The dedicated learner will have the opportunity to acquire the following skills: patient assessment, patient exams, the fundamentals of emergency medicine, resuscitation tools, chest tubes, incubation, airway clearance and caring for the patient's needs in regards to tracheotomy care. The qualified graduate of our program will be able to take the the NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) exam, and those who pass will then be able to apply for state licensure.
