Those motivated graduates from the Carrington College California Dental Assisting certificate and associate degree programs can grasp the administrative and clinical duties needed for this career, as well as have the chance to familiarize themselves with the needed laboratory skills. Courses are taught both in the lab and in the classroom. Students may be able to sit for the National Certification Exam. A passing grade on this test is required to have a valid Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) license. If you study hard, you will have the chance to learn admin duties, proper techniques for patient prep, chart formatting and more. A clinical externship is part of our program.
