Our Medical Laboratory Technician AAS degree program can prepare learners to become vital members of health care teams dedicated to diagnosing and treating patients correctly. This program is designed so students can learn clinical chemistry, principles, and practices, microbiology, laboratory calculations, and anatomy and physiology. Courses can also help develop the learners' organizational skills, provide enhanced research exercises, and improve technical writing and written communication skills. This program is designed to prepare graduates for the American Medical Technologists' (MLT) Certification Exam and includes an externship in a medical, clinical, or other health care setting.
