In as little as 70 weeks learners can complete our AAS Medical Administrative Specialist degree and may become a vital member of a health care team in doctors' offices, hospitals, and other medical facilities. This program offers a broad foundation of knowledge designed to help students gain the skills they may need to work as a medical office professional and in health care management. Graduates may prepare themselves for the medical office assistant certification exam and can also complete an externship in a medical, clinical, or other health profession setting.

Earning an AS in Medical Assisting can prepare students to work directly with patients under a doctor's supervision and manage administrative office duties in just 80 weeks. Courses are designed to instruct students in processing insurance claims, managing records confidentially, and scheduling appointments. For direct patient care students can learn lab procedures and venipuncture, pharmacology, human anatomy, and how to take vital signs.

Our Medical Laboratory Technician AAS degree program can prepare learners to become vital members of health care teams dedicated to diagnosing and treating patients correctly. This program is designed so students can learn clinical chemistry, principles, and practices, microbiology, laboratory calculations, and anatomy and physiology. Courses can also help develop the learners' organizational skills, provide enhanced research exercises, and improve technical writing and written communication skills. This program is designed to prepare graduates for the American Medical Technologists' (MLT) Certification Exam and includes an externship in a medical, clinical, or other health care setting.

Students can earn a diploma as a Medical Office Assistant in 60 weeks so they can begin their career quickly in a variety of medical settings. Courses will focus on computer technology and data entry that can be used in medical offices to streamline accounting, record documenting, claims processing, and appointment scheduling. Students can also learn medical terminology, human anatomy, and physiology to help them understand the procedures and coding standards used in the industry to possibly increase their career opportunities in the medical field.
