Certificate - Patient Care Technician I
This program is designed to help you gain the required technical expertise to help you as you study to pass the state-mandated certification examinations. Once you pass these tests you can continue to work as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) or decide to go on to earn your CNA license. The PCT program can teach you basic terminology required in the health care professions, as well as an introduction to physiology, anatomy, phlebotomy (the study of blood), EKG technology, pharmacology, CPR and basic first aid, and provide you with an introduction to basic math and communication skills. You can also complete your required clinical hours at a medical facility where you can watch, help, be taught, and carry out patient services.

Certificate - Patient Care Technician II
This program is meant to improve your skills after you have passed the requirements to become a CNA. Successfully accomplishing these program requirements will help you prepare for the National Health career Association (NHA) Certification Exam. If you pass this test, you will be awarded a current NHA ID Card and Certificate, ensuring your acceptance as a Nationally Certified Allied Healthcare professional. Once you are a Patient Care Technician II and have successfully passed all required state tests, you will be able to work hand in hand with other hospital staff in meeting patient needs. A Patient Care Technician (PCT) helps the patients in the following ways when the patient is unable to do these things for himself or herself: getting up and out of bed, eating, getting ready for the day by brushing hair or teeth, bathing and so forth.
