The Doctor of Education (EdD) in Counseling Psychology Program prepares counselors from a variety of settings with the skills and credentials necessary to pursue leadership, supervision, training, and teaching positions in the profession. Students with a background in mental health, social work, school counseling, pastoral counseling, and psychiatric nursing join together to earn the terminal degree in their field, and develop new interests and levels of competency and direction for their practice through an applied, research-practitioner approach to the role of professional counselor.

Earning a Master of Arts (MA) in Community Counseling degree through our program prepares students to practice professional counseling in our socially and culturally diverse communities. Students will learn basic counseling skills as they build on the theoretical foundations required by professional counselors to work responsibly and ethically with their clients. During the program learners will also be expanding and developing their own attitude, knowledge, and skill set that will be essential to their personal and professional growth in this human service-oriented field.

The Master of Arts (MA) in Mental Health Counseling Program recognizes the need to provide counseling professionals with the extensive knowledge and range of skills necessary to function effectively in their professions. The program introduces students to basic counseling skills that integrate individual and group theoretical foundations of counseling into appropriate client interaction and intervention skills. The program emphasizes the development of attitudes, knowledge, and skills essential in the formation of professional counselors who are committed to the ethical provision of quality services.

Argosy University recognizes the need to provide human services providers with the extensive knowledge and range of skills necessary to function effectively in their profession. Programs have been developed by Argosy University faculty members to enable working professional to pursue their personal and professional goals through completion of a master's program. The Master of Arts in School Counseling program focuses on student preparation and professional development. The completion of the program will permit students to request a transcript review by the Florida Department of Education for certification in Guidance and Counseling (grades K-12) in the state of Florida.
