The Associate of Arts with a concentration in Information Technology focuses on project management, the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), networking, Internet concepts, and design and programming fundamentals. This concentration builds upon the fundamentals of computer and networking design to provide students a foundation for understanding basic programming concepts. Students also will participate in real-world, scenario-based problems and develop functional software applications.

The Associate of Arts with a concentration in Information Technology/Database Development offers course work covering the installation and programming of database applications in the business environment. The development of queries and reports from a database are addressed in this program as well as the backup, recovery and security of databases.

In this concentration, students learn the theories and practices in hardware and software computer support. This concentration features live, online labs to give students hands-on experience in hardware, software, networking and security fundamentals.

The Associate of Arts with a concentration in Information Technology/Programming offers course work covering programming logic fundamentals and experience in several programming languages to develop basic skills for web and computer programming.

The Information Technology/Web Design concentration focuses on the application of web authoring tools, HTML, programming language and web standards to design and implement websites for a variety of business applications.

Students learn about systems analysis and design, programming, database design, network architecture and administration, web technologies, and application development, implementation and maintenance. This concentration provides courses covering the specific theories, competencies and skills necessary for success as a business systems analyst.

The Database Administration concentration focuses on the installation, development and administration of database applications in the business environment. The administration and development of database applications is examined from desktop databases to the enterprise level application of database technology.

The Software Engineering concentration of the BSIT is designed to provide specific theories, competencies and skills necessary for success as a programming professional. This concentration focuses on the principles of software application development.

The Web Development concentration of the BSIT is designed to provide specific theories, competencies and skills necessary for success as a web professional. The Web Development concentration prepares the student to design and develop websites for commercial operation.
