Our Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in English Second Language program provides instruction in the assessment and development of curriculum content and practical information related to bilingual instructional methods that teachers can facilitate in directed classroom settings. Courses will examine age appropriate and culturally relevant materials that incorporate the needs and emphasize respect to learners from diverse backgrounds to adapt content curriculum for ESL/ESOL students.
Candidates should check with their respective state officials to determine if this CAGS meets applicable certification requirements and should hold a master's degree prior to enrolling in this 18-credit hour program that can also transfer directly into a doctoral program at NCU.
