Associate of Applied Science in Health Fitness Specialist
Earning an associate degree in our Health and Fitness Specialist program can prepare individuals to explore career options in this rapidly expanding field. Learners will combine hands-on training with courses that explore the science and physiology of joints and muscle motion in order to prescribe individualized plans for specific needs. Courses will also feature nutritional needs during a training program, sport and recreational training using fitness equipment, and business strategies to market and promote fitness programs. Before graduation learners will complete a 150-hour externship that will allow them the opportunity to increase their skill and confidence levels and begin their new profession.

Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management
Our Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management degree program prepares individuals to become leaders that are capable of understanding the politics and policies that move or block health care initiatives and ways of designing proposals and logical presentations to support change initiatives. Courses will examine the history of past and present policies, analyze trends in market forces, and investigate different health care models that are currently in place in the United States and elsewhere. The program also emphasizes development of leadership skills that enable graduates to coordinate others' contributions and become future-thinking strategists able to have an impact on effecting change through health care reform initiatives.

Individuals who earn a Bachelor of Science degree in our Health Fitness Specialist program will gain the knowledge and experience to seek positions as personal trainers, group fitness leaders, on-site corporate fitness consultants, and more in this rapidly growing industry. Learners will complete an extensive hands-on training in our on-campus fitness center along with extensive muscular and joint physiology education to understand individualized dynamics such as muscular imbalances that are involved in creating personal fitness plans. Candidates may qualify for experiential learning credits or transfer of credits from another institute.
