With the Christian Leadership emphasis, the program helps students develop a deeper understanding of their own leadership style, as well as the style of others. The curriculum offers a survey of current models, methods and skills of leadership and their application to a variety of settings. In addition, the dynamics of crisis, conflict, and change are addressed as they apply to Christian ministry.

With the Pastoral Ministry emphasis, the program helps students develop a deeper understanding of pastoral styles and the types of situations that leaders face in today's culture. The curriculum offers a study of the daily practice of pastoral ministry and the ethical issues that arise in the context of leadership. Also examined are the techniques involved in preaching, including techniques for appropriate contextualization of the Christian message and preparation and delivery of sermons.
Graduates are equipped with the understanding and skills needed to inspire faith and effectively shepherd a contemporary Christian congregation.

With the Urban Ministry emphasis, courses cover the opportunities and challenges of ministry in cross-cultural and multicultural situations as well as urban ministries in general. Students will consider domestic and international settings. In addition, the curriculum focuses on how the church's mission expresses itself in the urban setting and the ethical implications for decisions made in urban ministry.
Graduates will have the skills and insight needed to inspire faith and effectively minister congregations in today's challenging and diverse societies.

Designed for the social and spiritual needs of today's society, this next-level degree program prepares ministers or aspiring ministers to effectively serve a Youth Ministry.
The program focuses on the preparation of leaders in biblical and theological knowledge, practical application of that knowledge in pastoral settings, and the development of character and integrity in all aspects of life.
With the Youth Ministry emphasis, the courses further examine the issues and crises of youth today and practical preparation for mentoring and working with youth, especially in a church setting. The curriculum provides a holistic approach to youth ministry within the larger context of families, schools, communities, and more, including the ethical implications to be considered. In addition, techniques for the mentoring and pastoral counseling of youth are explored.
Graduates will have the skills and insight needed to inspire faith and effectively guide, mentor and minister to youths.

Master of Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) (Not Eligible for Institutional Recommendation).
An increasing number of residents and immigrants who need to learn or improve their English skills will fuel an enormous need for more and more qualified teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).
This high-demand degree program is designed for certified teachers or administrators with an interest in teaching ESL students in the classroom or serving as a district ESL coordinator.
Courses in this regionally accredited program are taught by experts in their respective fields who share knowledge and experience in areas of linguistics, second language acquisition, and curriculum development. The curriculum covers the foundations of instruction for English language learners and the best-practice methods of teaching English and grammar to speakers of other languages. Courses include an in-depth examination of English linguistics, teaching in a pluralistic society, language and reading acquisition, and curriculum development and assessment.
Opportunities are provided to apply concepts, theories, and research throughout the program, but particularly in a TESOL practicum that guides students through observational and practice-based experiences.
