What to Expect From Grand Canyon University
One thing that makes GCU unique is its approach to online learning. The school simulates a classroom experience complete with a virtual instructor and classmates to communicate with. This module is advantageous because students can work together with their classmates to discuss their coursework, get help with assignments, and even have online study groups.
Depending on the degree you pursue and the program, students receive their master's degrees in an average of two years, less if you transfer credits. A bachelor's degree can be completed in 3 years if starting without transfer credits, and even less time if you transfer credits from another university.
Applying to Grand Canyon University
Students considering degrees from Grand Canyon University Online must meet specific admissions criteria, including a high school diploma or GED for students pursuing bachelor's programs, and a bachelor's degree and minimum GPA of 2.8, plus 2 years of full-time work experience, for students pursuing a Master's program. Applications for admissions are completed online.
If the cost of an online education is preventing you from getting your degree, financial aid options including scholarships and federal student aid are available. Qualifying students can receive grants and loans to help pay for their education. In addition, Grand Canyon offers military scholarships for veterans and active duty members of the military.
