Diplomas
Diplomas are great way to acquire practical training and job-specific skills in a much shorter timespan than it takes to earn a degree. The terms "diploma" and "certificate" are often used interchangeably, and there is no generally accepted standard that distinguishes them. A diploma is a certificate or deed issued by an educational institution, such as a university, that testifies that the recipient has successfully completed a particular course of study, or confers an academic degree. Diplomas generally take 1 year to complete. For more information, see "Degrees, Diplomas, and Certificates: What's the Difference?".
