Not only do many fields use multimedia professionals, but the demand for this kind of employee is rising. Employment for multimedia professionals is expected to increase in the next ten years at a fast rate, thanks to the boom in social media and other new avenues of communication.
In 2009 the median annual earnings for multimedia professionals was $58,500. Starting salaries can be expected to be at around $30,000 a year. The top ten percent of those working in this field make close to $100,000 a year.
