Bachelor Degree Programs in Public Relations are designed to boost students' skills in the field and move them ahead in their careers. Starting with foundational courses in Business, most programs then move into a specialization in Public Relations.
The role of public relations is to increase the exposure of the organization or individual to the public. Sometimes the exposure is good and other times it isn't so they must try and control the image that they are portraying by working with media, crisis communications, and social media engagement. Individuals in public relations must be able to write, speak, and think clearly and analytically. If there are problems facing the company or individual then the PR professional must be able to resolve the problem as quickly and as quietly as possible.
