The school partnered with the online education provider 2tor to offer services in support of the nursing program and web-based delivery of Georgetown's curriculum. The lectures will be taught by the university's faculty using streaming video, animation and other Internet technologies.

Graduates of this degree program will receive a masters degree in nursing from Georgetown University, which includes the same academically rigorous curriculum as the on-campus option.

"Georgetown's academic rigor and values-based approach prepare nurse leaders to be critical thinkers and compassionate practitioners," said Julie DeLoia, interim dean of the nursing school. "Our new online initiative will allow us to extend our mission and magnify our impact on health and healthcare across the nation, particularly in rural and underserved areas."

According to a 2008 study by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, approximately 328,800 medical and health services management positions are expected to be available over the next seven years.

Most students cannot wait to get out of their parents homes and into their dorms. They will live on a co-ed floor, go to bed whenever they want or not. They can order pizza at anytime and leave their room as messy as they want.

The dorm life can be very exciting for first time college students but students should watch out for 9 health hazards. The first of which is meningitis. Bacterial meningitis is potentially fatal. It affects the membranes around the brain and spinal cord. It is spread through saliva so actions like sharing a beer can or kissing can be dangerous.

Another hazard is mononucleosis also known as mono. This can put students out of commission between four to six weeks. This is also spread though kissing and sharing drinks. So avoid mouth to mouth contact and wash your hands. Although it's easier said than done.

The typical cold and flu can also be another problem. Once a roommate gets this, the rest of the apartment is very likely to get it. Make sure to wipe down shared areas such as the remote or desktop with disinfectant wipes and frequently wash your hands.

Bedbugs can also be quite a problem in some college dorms. These can be a pain to get rid of, but a mattress cover and clean bedding can significantly reduce the problem. Also maintaining a clean room free of food and clutter may reduce the bedbug infestations.

While mildew on the shower curtain isn't a very big deal, mold can be an issue particularly for students with allergies, asthma, and other respiratory conditions. If mold is located throughout the dorm then you should get out.

Besides mold, athlete's foot is something college students want to avoid. Make sure that you are wearing flip flops in community showers, because you never know who has been in it. Also make sure that you wipe the moisture from in between you toes to prevent fungal growth.

There are some potential health hazards for dorm students. However, a little common sense and precautions can go a long ways. Nothing is worse for full time students than being sick. This can put them really behind in their schoolwork and dampen their social life, which is what many college students live for.

"I knew I never wanted to be in that situation again, with some unqualified caveman breathing down my neck, telling me what to do, my career in his hands," says Echols. "An MBA degree seemed to be the best way to avoid that scenario."

When Todd Echols left his job at a small publishing company 3 years ago, his supervisor's farewell was not exactly heartbreaking. "He was glad to see me go," Echols says. "He said something like, 'Make sure you take your fake plants with you.' The feeling was mutual."

Echols left the company but not for another job. "I knew I never wanted to be in that situation again, with some unqualified caveman breathing down my neck, telling me what to do, my career in his hands," says Echols. "An MBA degree seemed to be the best way to avoid that scenario."

He did his homework and found out about the benefits of a master's of business administration. Most programs took only 2 years. Courses would teach higher-level strategy and skills reserved for executives. Coming out of an MBA program, he could make more than $80,000 annually. "Best of all, there would be no limit to my career," Echols says. "Once I had that MBA, I could go as high as I wanted. I could be a CEO one day."

Echols looked at both online and on-campus MBA programs and found a slew of convenient, affordable programs online. "I liked being able to take classes from my computer and absorb the material at my own pace," he says.

Two years after leaving his company, Echols returned with a MBA and became the department manager overseeing his former supervisor. "The look on his face when I walked in the door was priceless," recalls Echols. "But I'll take it easy on him."

If you are interested in becoming your boss' boss or just improving your career, you can learn more about online MBA programs at the following schools.

	University of Phoenix

	Kaplan University

	Capella University

Change your career today. Be your boss's boss with a MBA degree. Request information and find the right MBA program for you.
