Students Facing Greater Mental Health Issues

A new study found that five times as many high school and college students are facing anxiety and mental health issues than the same age group during the Great Depression. A psychological questionnaire from 1938 confirmed the belief among counselors that students are struggling with not only school but life in general more than in the past.

Many girls suffer from an eating disorder particularly when they are in their teenage years or early 20s. A Swedish study recently discovered a link in which girls with highly educated parents and grandparents have a higher risk of developing an eating disorder, especially if they did well in school themselves.
