I’m a former student of City college(NY)who for unfortunate reasons had to drop out by the junior year. I was involved in an accident in which I almost lost my life. I was trying to major in philosophy, but this goal was interrupted by this event. During the years I have thought of restarting school so I could achieve this goal, but my motivation to do so has not been strong enough. Perhaps this was caused by the psychological and economic conditions I have lived since then. Psychologically I was affected by great depressions at the times. Economically my survival means have always been very limited. Sometimes I had to depend on public assistance for this.

In 1994 the Seek Program at John Jay College hired me as a tutor(math/Spanish)and I worked in this program until 2008. At the moment I am retired and I have the desire to continue my education until I get my degree. I’d prefer to take courses online because the time is more flexible and is better for my health.

I’d appreciate you sending me information about how to get government financial aid to go back to school.
