Weight Loss Competition

Recently some co-workers and I were complaining about the lazy, slovenly people we’ve become. Stories from the glory days filled the air. “When I was a defensive end in college,” boasts one, “I used to be able to run a 5-minute mile.” As the stories began to get grander, so did our competitive spirits. So it was settled; the following day after work we would all have our body compositions tested and a wager would ensue.

After getting tested, we knew we had to lose weight. The way we’ve worked this out is whoever loses the highest percentage of overall body fat wins. For example if I had 30% body fat when we started and at the end had 20%, that would be a loss of 10% body fat. It’s a great way to motivated weight loss, especially when you’ve got highly competitive people in your office.
