When it comes to identity theft, I have never subscribed to a protection plan. There are plenty to choose from, and each guarantees you won’t be let down. Sure, it is a pain to have to someone steal your identity, and you may never fully recover, but at the same time as long as you check your credit every year you really can’t have anything terrible happen. However, if something does happen, there are lawyers who can help you get your credit and good name back. They are identity theft lawyers, and they will help you even if you don’t have a protection plan.
There have been plenty of case studies recently for people interested in fraud. One example is Bernie Madoff. He didn’t necessarily steal anyone’s identity, but he did trick and lie to people, and those victims can take action. They just have to call an attorney like an identity theft attorney. People who commit fraud should be held responsible.
