Using the Internet to find legal advice can be a great place to start. You need to keep in mind though, that you pay for what you get. Most legal advice on the Internet is simply hearsay and contains no real legal importance. The Internet can help you ask the right questions when you meet with an attorney, no doubt about that, but the Internet will never replace a physical attorney with whom you can speak. Your case and everyone else’s is unique, so an Internet application that gives you a generic response simply won’t due.
Someone should have been there to advise Michael Vick from starting a dog fighting ring. He has now paid his debt to society in my opinion, and hopefully from here on he will find a real attorney to speak with. Using an online legal advice website won’t work for his case, so I doubt it will for yours.
