Learning More: Healthy Eating
Eating healthy is so important for people living in today’s high-stress, germ-contaminated world. As our work hours increase and our leisure time decreases, we are more prone than ever to becoming ill, developing bad sleep habits, and buckling under stress. The first step in fighting off illness and disease while staying energized throughout a busy workday is to eat healthy foods. Healthy foods include those that are high in nutritional content, low in caffeine, sugar and salt, and provide us with energy. Pastas, rice, granola, fruits and vegetables are all considered healthy foods to eat.
Many parents make sure their children eat healthy but then they don’t practice healthy eating themselves. Start by eating a well-balanced breakfast that includes fruit, grains and juice. Pack snacks that are high in protein and nutritional content as well as water bottles and juice drinks. Don’t buy candy bars and other types of junk food. Eating healthy throughout your day makes you more successful in all other areas of life! Try it and see!
