Those employed in this field are also known as drafting technicians, draftspersons, or draughtsman. A draftsman will provide technical drawings used in a variety of fields by architects, interior designers, design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and even software and computer engineers. These drawings often have very specific requirements like layout, line thickness, dimensions, symbols representation for specific areas on the drawing, and others. Most of these drawing are created on the computer utilizing software called AutoCAD. This software is utilized across the board in the field of drafting of illustrations and drawings.
