The end of the 2010 Summer Blockbuster Season is fast approaching and the time has come tolook back and meditate on Hollywood’s most recent offering of entertainment meant to amuse the masses during the hottest portion of the year (in the Western Hemisphere, that is).What better way to commemorate this event than with a “Best of” list celebrating the highs and lows in cinema released over the past few months?
The Last Shymalan Fan

Rotten Tomatoes hates The Last Airbender. So does Metacritic and anyone who bothered watching the movie. So does God and Vishnu and anyone who’s ever seen a movie. M. Night Shylaman has dropped the ball, but this time on a grand scale, tainting what wasn’t his with disgust and distain.
I know nothing of the series Avatar: The Last Airbender and from what I hear about the show from devotees, I’m probably not going to bother watching it either. However, I’ve been a fan of Shylaman for a long time, enjoying his meticulous movies, plots and characters. But The Last Airbender didn’t bring me any of those things. It actually brought me nothing but sadness.
