Released on April 3rd, the iPad was supposed to revolutionize comic books. While it wasn’t created for such an endeavor, it was — wait, what was the iPad created for? Regardless, PSPs, iPhones, and whatever else had tried, but to no avail. No one wants to squint while reading their comics. They want size. The iPad was to give us that.Now, ladies and gentlemen, I don’t know about you, but I have an iPad. I’ve downloaded these apps, and I’ve found something…strange. The DC app. The Marvel app. The Image app. The Boom! app. They’re…the same.

As a little end-of-summer project, College Life wants your help in designing a brand new iPhone/iPad app for college. We want to hear your best ideas of what you’d want in an App, and then we’ll let the users vote on the best ones. The winner will receive a brand new 16GB iPad and be given a conceptual credit on the app itself. Go ahead and put that on your resume. At the very least, you’ll be able to answer the question, “What did you do with your summer vacation?”
Apple iPad iPros and iCons

This talk about the “Apple Tablet” that has been going on for months has had me digging through blogs for months, desperately trying to figure out anything I could about this mysterious device. The promise was the world, and then my proverbial ice cream cone fell into the dirt. I don’t see the value of the iPad for someone like me. However, I do think that it can be a game changer.
