Continuing our Marvel vs. DC series, we’ve decided to pit the two titans of these comic book universes. I’m talking about limitless super strength. I’m talking about nigh invincibility. Yes, fanboys and fangirls, I am talking about the Hulk versus Superman, the Irradiated One versus the Man of Steel. I am talking a battle that could potentially leave our planet in pieces, collateral damage like we’ve never beheld.
Again, for the noobs, here is the breakdown on strengths and weaknesses (emphasis on strength):
SUPERMAN
Alter ego: Clark Kent
Strengths: Supercharged by our yellow sun and armed with a staunch moral code, Kal-El, the Last Son of Krypton, can fly at near the speed of light, shoot heat blasts from his eyes, and freeze stuff with his breath. He also x-ray and microscopic vision and super-hearing. Eclipsing all that, however, is the Man of Steel’s invincibility and strength. In his current incarnation, Superman is strong enough to hurl mountains, withstand nuclear blasts, fly into the sun unscathed, and survive in the vacuum of outer space without oxygen.
Weaknesses: Kryptonite is Superman’s primary weakness, as it subjects him to pain and nausea and neutralizes his superhuman abilities. Prolonged exposure to the radioactive stone will kill the Man of Steel. Loss of yellow sunlight has also been known to neutralize his abilities but not kill him.
THE HULK
Alter ego: Dr. Bruce Banner
Strengths: Filled with gamma radiation, the Green One possesses strength, durability, endurance, and healing that increases with his temper. It has been said there is literally no limit to his power potential, as he has withstood impacts that split whole planets, temperatures comparable to the Sun’s core, and nuclear explosions. He can leap across continents or into orbit, move at superspeed, resist psychic control, see astral forms, and home in on his place of creation in New Mexico. In his human form, he possesses one of Earth’s most brilliant minds.
Weaknesses: Anything that reverses the anger, terror, or grief that causes Banner to turn into the Hulk will change him back into Banner. His love interest, Betty Ross, has been known to cause these reversals. The unpredictability and uncontrollability of the Hulk’s transformations can also render him helpless at crucial moments. Also, some have succeeded in siphoning the gamma radiation out the Hulk’s body, thus reducing him to helpless Bruce Banner.

The Hulk would win and here’s why.
going toe to toe, both are seemingly invincible. both have superhuman strength. Superman has heat vision, freezing breath and super speed … none of which will matter in a fight against the Hulk. the Hulk can do the super jump and withstand pretty much any kind of blast depending on how mad he is. in a straight-up, put up your dukes, fight to the finish it will come down to a battle of wills and since the Hulk is fueled by his rage I give him the edge.
if Superman, can read some poetry, sing lullabyes, tell funny jokes, or do the Riverdance and somehow change the Hulk back into Banner, Banner would have enough sense to get some kryptonite and it’s a done deal anyway.

All i have to say is have you seen Planet Hulk? All the Marvel superheros were so scared of thei guy that they sent him to another planet because he was (is) so powerful. This is the same guy that beat onslaught and the Maestro. I must admit it was the Professor Hulk, whoo is his strongest iteration I must add who beat the Maestro. Even though I keep hearing people say that Superman is stronger (yet to be seen) Superman has never held up half the planet like the Hulk has. I agree to have these two fight it would probably last a really long time. Supermans speed has nothing to do with this fight because if it does, why din’t supes use his speed when Doomsday killed him. And we all know that the Hulk is much stronger than Doomsday. At least we admit that the two most powerful super heroes ever, are Superman and The Hulk. If Marvel and DC ever did battle all the Hulk and Superman would have to do is wait until it was their turn because they would rip through everyone else easily.

I agree with lilrico. Superman is already at his strongest. Unlike the hulk, who, t his starting strength gets hurt by freakin wolverine. Now, yes, Hulk has held up part of the planet. Would you like to know why superman hasn’t? Maybe its because he isn’t a retard like the hulk. The hulk is like a stupid version of superman. He’s strong, but he has no head. Keep in mind, this is Hulk. Not Prof. Hulk, not red hulk, or gray hulk. Just the regular green guy. Oh, by the way Tiny, how the heck is Banner supposed to have kryptonite when, A. there is none in his universe, and B., he just transformed from being the hulk, so he’ll be lucky if he is still even clothed? You completely disregarded superman’s head powers. His ice breath would at least freeze hulk for a few seconds. That’s all supes would need to chuck him into space. And superspeed does count for something when fighting the hulk, if you have super-strength and can fly too! And superman did use his super-speed when he faught doomsday. How can you know he didn’t? The frames in the comic actually show a brown and red blur to the onlookers. Oh, and are we allowing technology?
I honestly hope you all know about superman’s fortress of solitude. Where he keeps his phantom zone gun. With it he can send his enemies to a pocket dimension, never to return unless he wants them to. Honestly, what could the hulk do to super strength and intelligence?
All of you hulk fans forget one thing,superman holds himself in check out of respect for life.he refuses to take a life.So say the hulk hurt or killed someone superman loves what would happen then,imagine if superman got truly angry,he has unlimited power he could draw from the sun,if he lost control he would destroy the hulk.Superman’s full power has never been shown or explored.imagine him in a rage like the hulk,he would mop the planet with the hulk.That would be a good plot to put into a comic or movie,it would be a clash of the two most physically powerful beings in the superhero universe.
Ok, if all Supes has to do is wait for Hulk to change back to banner, then all the Hulk has to do is find some kryptonite, right? Let’s keep it even. I dn’t recall the Hulk being a killer either. Neither the Hulk nor Superman has ever really used their full power, if they did everyone they fought would be deceased.
Luke, if you want to go with intelligence, I don’t think you want Superman to fight The Professor Hulk, need I say more? The Prof would already know all he would need was the kryptonite to defeat him, right?
We all know that the Hulk is a grappler and a bruiser, no martial arts here, just a raw beatdown attitude, as he gets madder he gets stronger; unlike Superman who does tire out in a long fight. Just look at how tired Superman got when he fought Doomsday and Darkseid.
What about superman quickly tossing Hulk into space? He would not die, but he would get calm. I mean, he’s floating around in space. He might revert back into banner, and then, hulk’s instantly toast. Also, there is the phantom zone projector. That would probably get rid of hulk. Also, superman is pretty fast, faster than hulk. Imagine what the flash coud do to the hulk if he had superman’s strength. Well, slow him down a bit, and give him the abiity to fly, and you’ve got Clark. The hulk would be swinging his powerful fists like two sledgehammers, while supes easiy dodges around them with his superspeed, landing powerful blows to hulk’s head and chest. Eventualy throwing hulk into the sun, or a blackhole or something.
btw, just because proffesor hulk is smart doesn’t mean he’ll know about kryptonite. Especially as there is none in his universe.
Luke, if it was that easy Superman would have done that to Doomsday, right? If people are saying that the Hulk and Doomsday are almost equal in power, I think not, The Hulk is stronger, I digress, Superman could have exerted those traits in his fight with Doomsday, but he didn’t. So why would he all of a sudden do that when he fights the Hulk. Past battles depict a lot about how a person fights someone who’s really powerful. Also take another look at the Hulks powers again, he can stand heat as intense as the core of the sun. In a fight in the past the Hulk backhanded Supes and knocked him to Jupiter, so I guess it all depends on who’s writing the story. Switching topics for a sec: in the the crossover mag there was a race between Quicksilver and the Flash and the first race Flash destroyed him; Quicksilver learned about the speed force in DC’s Universe; remember there is no speed force in Marvel’s universe. Once, QS tapped into the “speed force” he was just as fast and a little bit quicker than the Flash. The Flash came to Marvel’s universe and it was no contest QS dusted him. We all know that for some reason DC makes it’s hero’s so much stronger because of their universe but Marvel’s hero’s adapted and came on level or rose above. Your move!
Don’t forget intelligence will help out the Prof Hulk in more ways than one. Prof Hulk is the strongest Hulk so that will pose serious issues for Superman. I do admit that if Superman and The Hulk banded together no one in the universe Marvel or DC would be able to stop them. Look at Planet Hulk and you’ll see what I mean!
first, when did we start using proffesor hulk? Well, I suppose that’s fine, I’ll just use Composite superman then. Composite superman will destroy Proffesor hulk. He has all of the powers of superman, and most of the legion of superheroes powers. This means he is three times stronger than superman, can shrink, grow, shoot lightning bolts, have power over magnetism, stretch any part of his body, shapeshift, have telepathy, invisibility, can consume anything, phase through solid matter, inflate into a large ball, the ability to make things super-heavy or super-light, can generate heat and light, can morph into three people, has x-ray vision that can see through lead, AND has a 12th level intelligence. (phew) Now I KNOW, a smarter version of the hulk will never be ale to defeat him. If you really want to use proffesor hulk, that is. We could always go back to regular superman vs regular hulk, where it is less of a curbstomp in superman’s favor. You can have no argument against CS. What will P hulk do, break one of his bones? Oh wait, he can stretch any part of his body. He is three times stronger than supes, and thanks too his 12th level intelligent, is as smart, or nearly as smart, if not smarter than P hulk.
CS also has no weakness to kryptonite. Btw, yes, QS can beat flash, but only when he’s in his universe. If it was anywhere else, where they oth get all their powers and abilities, Flash wins every time. Also, flash is awesome andpeople like him, and quicksilver is an arrogant jerk who got beat by spiderman before. Spider-man! One of the weakest heroes in marvel, if you take his obscene popularity out of the mix.
Well, since Prof Hulk is one of the iterations of the Hulk, it is a viable opponent. Composite Superman would be a nice opponent for Prof Hulk. I’m not adding in any extra powers from other hero’s in Marvel, gotta keep it on thwe Hulk vs Superman with their own powers nothing borrowed! Never forget that no matter what the madder Hulk gets, the stronger Hulk gets. He always seems to rise to the level of his opponent, hence The Maestro and Onslaught. And what happens when the Hulk ties composite Superman in an knot or something (just fodder for the argument).

QS beat Flash when he came to Marvel’s universe, minus the speed force! I agree head to head Flash wins, but, you have to take into account in DC’s universe there is the speed force and QS matched him step for step once he got the speed force down, and he beat him head up in Marvel’s universe. Without the “speedforce” advantage Flash is toast.
Also, never said the Pietro was a hell of a fighter, which he is not. I agree, being that fast and letting Spidey beat you, real lame.
Let me bring up Superboy-Prime. He is an example of what Superman can do when he does not hold back, have any moral compass, and is strictly driven by rage and revenge. Prime, has killed several (possibly 47) Green Lanterns, and countless other DC Super Heroes and Villians. The ENTIRE DC Universe knows that Prime will and has the power to destroy planets and every person that he comes across, bar none. So if that is what tiny Superboy-Prime can do, imagine what Superman can do, if he decides to let loose.
Know in World War Hulk, we see Hulk, not as a idiot who can not think or reason, and just smashes, but one that has average intelligence. Strength and other powers on par with Superman( for the Marvel universe). Hulk, proves himself as a wise strategist throughout the series, and even as a prudent leader. Hulk destroys creatures that no one else could destroy on that planet, proving that he is in the class of powers of Superman.
trying to decide who would win Hulk or Superman is like trying to decide Chicago or New York pizza. But in this example Superman could win “IF” he takes Superboy Primes’s attitude and just rips the Hulk in half before things get out of hand. the Hulk will win if Superman goes his usual boyscout route and takes his time. WW Hulk shows that Hulk will destroy his enemy, while Superman has yet to show he is willing to tap into his potential serial killer side and tear people a new one.
So maybe the question should be who would win Superboy-Prime or Hulk?
SuperBoy_Prime of course. Always bet on the deranged serial killer, they seem to always win. And he seems to be the only person in either Dc or Marvel to actually have TRUE INVULNERBILITY, and he really uses it.
What about Lobo vs the Hulk? I think that would be pretty interesting. In essence, Lobo cannot die. He has been banned from heaven and hell. He has shown the ability to heal from a single drop of blood, and later from just a severed head. He also has really cool toys, resistance to mind control (not much use in a hulk fight) and some really cool and devastating weapons, along with a space bike and the ability to breathe in space. I would be rooting for Lobo, because he’s funnier and cooler, but, it could go either way. Does anyone know the extent of Hulk’s healing abilities? Is it just instantaneus, or can he grow back limbs too?

I saw in World War Hulk that Hulk healed fairly rapidly, from wounds that pierced his entire body through and through, but I have not seen him recover from an amputation. IN WW Hulk, it is said that the Hulk’s blood rejuvenates the planet, by growing plants from his blood. So whatever that means. It does not help in the fight, but he heals extemely fast!!

I agree on the superboy-prime thing. If both were fighting to kill their opponents, then supes would instantly take it. If he saw hulk beating up a city or something, then he would just smack hulk around until realizing that there was no way to beat him except by killing him. However, if they both got teleported into some pocket universe, and were forced to fight each other to the death with the loser getting his universe destroyed… Superman has shown that he will cut loose if sorely provoked. He would probably kill hulk if he had to protect his universe. Then again, knowing superman, he would probably convince hulk to help him defeat the guy who teleported them there, but if he had no choice, I think that he would quickly rip hulk apart before he can get to the required strength level.
Doomsday would murder Hulk. He is as strong (if not stronger) and fast as superman, which is why he couldn’t have just chucked HIM into space. Hulk might be strong enough to afford to be retarded, but doomsday is a beast. To make him strong and tough, scintists that were trying to make a him into a superweapon (and we all know how THAT turns out), put him on a the most hostile planet ever. After he was killed, they resurected him and did it again and again, until nothing could hurt him. Unfortunatly, Doomsday didn’t like that so he murdered them all. He now has an intense hatred of people in general. Yeah, the hulk has destroyed some stuff, but when doomsday crash landed on a planet similar to earth, but more advanced, he punched everything until there was nothing taller than him. Doomsday would quickly rip hulk in half, like superboy-prime would.
Luke, Really, Doomsday would murder the Hulk, now I know you are crazy. If Doomsday is that powerful, The Hulk would just get super mad and rip him to shreds. Remember, if Superman can beat Doomsday, it has to be agreed upon that the Hulk will have no problem with him. Doomsday is a beast but he is not in my opinion, in Superman’s and The Hulk’s League. Superman Prime, who is 3x’s stronger than Superman will give the Hulk fits, but once again, no one knows how powerful the Hulk gets when he becomes royally pissed off. If all the heroes in Marvel could not handle him, and there are some seriously powerful heroes in Marvel; remember they shot him to another planet, in Planet Hulk becaue he was way too powerful to leave on the Earth. All I’m saying is we do not know the upper limits of the Hulk’s powers when he is pissed of to the highest point of pissivity <— is that a word?

If I recall correctly, the people who sent hulk to space were ironman, reed richards, dr. strange, and some other guy. While they are decent heroes, they are not as good as DC’s. If a smackdown wouldn’t work, what about sickness? Poison Ivy might actually have a shot. Since you don’t know too much about DC, you might think that some loser who can make flowers grow is lame. Well, her power are WAY more complicated than that. She can once almost killed Green Lantern, because she was able to make him contract a deadly disease derived from plants that completely immobilized him. In some versions, she can completely control alien plants as well. I haven’t seen hulk show immunity to viruses, and have seen him put to sleep with enough tranquilizer darts (fired by deadpool) so that way might work. Now, why don’t you ever consider the fact that Doomsday could quickly kill the hulk. Just quickly rip him in half, before he can do anything. You said he could get super mad and rip doomsday to shreds. What if he didn’t have time to get to doomsday’s strength level. And what about Vixen? Right now, in the comics, she is one of the strongest people in the JL. She can steal people’s powers. Not just powers, attributes (taking some of red arrow’s archery skills and nailing a target two football fields away the first time she picked up the bow. Imagine her fighting the hulk, but systematically stealing his strength for herself when he gets too strong. He could be defeated that way. Also, is it all right if we expose superman to some kryptonite? just to make this fight fair. If he was, then he would without a doubt emerge victorious from the fight. I’ll explain how in the next comment. First, what do you guys think of Lobo versus Hulk, or Lobo vs. Wolverine?
Lobo vs Hulk is a very interesting match up. Lobo is a great definition of invulnerbility. 1 drop of blood and he was able to reconstitute his body. His strength is a worry though. In Marvel vs DC comic book Wolverine destroys Lobo. They describe Lobo’s strength as superhuman but there are so many examples of it!! Sometimes he is as strong as Superman sometimes he barely as strong as a Spiderman?!?
Hulk would destroy Lobo, but he would reconsitute himself from whatever is left and come back again for another fight. I guess it comes down to some heros and villians in comics have powers and abilities that just make them a bad match up for a fight. They really can never be defeated one way or another. Hulk can not die really, Superman just needs to be hibernated in the sun, Lobo needs just one drop of blood, and Wolverine probably needs to just be able to breathe(maybe).
My question is what is the defination of Invulnerability for DC and Marvel? Some people who have invulnerbility get killed, while others who have it can have bullets bouncing off of them. Wonder Woman is a good example of what a real super hero should be like. She can only take SO MUCH damage before she is REALLY HURT.
Norris, I agree what is the definition of invulnerability? Superman’s invulnerability has been exposed because he was killed, and the Hulk isn’t invulnerable if he turns back into Banner if he’s hit with tranquilizers. WOnder Woman, Iron Man, Batman, Captain America, Spiderman, Green Lantern, GreenArrow, Hawkeye, and many others from both universes can die; they may be take a lot of damage but in the end they can die. Even Demi-Gods like Heracles (Hercules) and Thor can be destroyed. We have seen Darkseid and Doomsday neutralized; even Superman Prime has weaknesses. So it all depends on the circumstances. These debates pay off when people look at them logically. Good lookin out Norris!

Superman vs The Hulk.
Well this would be a very long long fight. On one hand I can’t see Superman killing the Hulk because Superman dosn’t kill and he intends to hold back alot.
On the other hand The Hulk might be able to match Supermans strength but after that it would be a problem for the hulk. Superman can use his super speed to avoid most of the hulks punches. Even if the hulk can jump high in the air Superman can easly dodge him while hes jumping one way.
Then you gotta remember Supermans abilities to freeze things as well as heat vison. The X ray vison would come into play as Superman could easily be waiting anywhere and the hulk wouldn’t be able to see Superman but Superman would see him from afar and no where to hit the hulk.
If it was just a battle of power vs power it would be a draw. If the Hulk could get kryptonite then he would win. Very few villians have made Superman bleed without kryptonite or magic. If Superman faught the hulk in the sun superman could just absorb energy from the sun and get so powerful that the hulk getting mad wouldn’t matter.
So over all Superman would win. Keep in mind Superman has defeated clones of himself and even 3 other villians with the same powers he had at once{Superman 2}
But if Clark Kent faught Bruce Banner then Bruce all the way being how I would take a scientist over a reporter anyday of the week.
Norris, that wolverine vs Lobo fight made me SO mad. You see, because in most cases, DC would pwn marvel, so theylet the fans decide, then valiantly tried to find a way to explain their poor choices. In acuality, Wolverine has as good a chance of beating Lobo as the thing beating superman. The fans voted for Wolvie because they heard of him more. It was completely retarded. Hey Steve, I wouldn’t be so quick to say scientists are better than reporters. In superhero universes, when heroes first get their powers, whose fault is it (indirectly, in some cases)? Scientists. They make so many mistakesduring expiraments, it’s ridiculous. Without scientists, we wouldn’t have dozens of hero/villains. For example, Metamorpho, Dr, Manhatten, Wolverine, Cyborg, Spiderman, Cheetah, Mr. Freeze, Parasite, Clayface, Doctor Octopus, The Green Goblin, The Hulk, Deadpool, Sabretooth, the list is endless!

The reason I pick Superman would be because Superman can change his power attacks around. He could blind the hulk with super speed attacks and the hulk would never be able to catch or keep up with him.
The Hulk wouldn’t be able to avoid freezing and heat powers of Superman. As far as strength I can see the Hulks punches hurting Superman but not killing him. Very few people have made Superman bleed without kryptonite or magic. If the Hulk used either one and then attacked Superman,superman would be killed.
And Supermans X ray vison would be useful in this fight because he could be standing behind a wall or far away and the hulk would never see him coming.
So Superman wins but not easily.
Steve3o: I beg to differ; if Doomsday killed Superman, and Doomsday is supposed to have Hulk level strength, why do you think Superman would fight any differently against the Hulk? The Hulk made Superman bleed in the DC/Marvel crossover mag, and it was a very short battle, 3 pages, by the way DC’s writers had Superman win that short battle go figure, I digress. Also in the crossover mag Superman hit the Hulk with the full force of his heat vision and Superman said. “I doubt even you can withstand it completely.” The Hulk took it without even a scratch, and yes all you have to do is get the DC versus Marvel crossover mag. So I would think his freeze breath would not be a factoe either. If Superman was going to beat him by using his superspeed, he didn’t use that strategy against Doomsday, so it’s pretty likely he won’t use against the Hulk. We are talking about DC and Marvels strongest heroes, so to compare them do this, what is Supermans best feat of strength? The HUlks is he literally held up half of the Earth for an extended period of time, so you tell me who’s stronger. One thing about the Hulk, he has and never has used an unfaid advantage to beat an opponet, so he could care less about magic or kryptonite. Superspeed does not work against the Hulk simply because his shockwave with render it useless. Bring the facts Steve!
Superspeed is useful if you can FLY too, andre! Shockwaves won’t work and you know it. Superman could easily dodge around hulk, if he ever tried any shockwave stuff, he could simply hover in theair, if he wasn’t already. By the way, yeah that was really cute, the hulk holding up the world. Superman has actually punched a hole through the time dimension and was sent 83200 years into the future. He also did this in a weakened state. You know, I think that trumps holding up the world (which superman could easily do).

The Hulk could match Superman in a battle if it was just power vs power. It would be a very long battle.
But the Hulk is only power and rage. Superman has super speed,strength,freezing and heating abilities,he can fly around the world and turn back time,and X ray vison. In other words if Superman flew his fastest around the world once and flew full speed at the Hulk,he could punch a hole right through him,if not knock him off the planet.
Your also forgetting that Supermans power comes from the yellow sun. If he flew the Hulk into the sun and absorbed the suns power,no matter how much the hulk got mad he would be killed.
The only person in marvel who could kill Superman in my view is Apocolypse since he can’t die.
But if Superman has beaten enemies with the same power and force he has,then how would he have trouble with the Hulk. The Hulk is only strength. Superman could dodge every punch. The Hulk gets madder and madder yes,but you can’t use power against someone you can’t catch. And even though the Hulk gets mader sooner or later he will still feel pain. Superman can change his attacks from super speed to freezing to heat vison and the Hulk would never be able to keep up with the changes. So Superman walks away after a long long battle with the Hulk. Superman wasn’t really killed by Doomsday. What happend was Doomsday and Superman each went for a fatal blow and Superman flew him up above the earth and then came flying down while locked with Doomsday and he drove Doomsday into the earth which temporarly killed both. But they both returned later in the series. Superman has used freezing and heating abilities on Doomsday. My guess the reason why they didn’t kill Doomsday was because Doomsday is also from krypton just like Superman. He had Supermans power and had more rage. Doomsday also dosn’t feel pain so thats why he had Supermans number. But only for a short time
Now the only thing worse then a Superman vs Hulk battle would be a triple threat battle on earth between Doomsday vs The Hulk vs Superman. This would be the longest not to mention the most brutal battle ever

Also, in the crossover magazine Thanos was equal to the power of Darkseid, so I don’t know who would win between Thanos and Darkseid.

The only one who can be added to the battle is the juggernaut. He is in many ways like Doomsday and The Hulk,he keeps coming no matter what. If you took these 4 men and place them into battle I can see the earth being too destroyed to be repaired. Forget global warming being a problem because it wouldn’t have destroyed the earth fast enough.
Either way if the 4 got to battle each other then I can’t see anyone walking away. Not even Superman would be able to take on all 3 of them if they faught him together. Steve3o, I would have to agree with you. In the Marvel /DC crossover, after Superman defeated Thor, Iron Man, She-HUlk, Vision, and Hercules almost killed Superman before Aquaman rescued him. So I agree Superman or The Hulk could not last against the others by themselves. Good stuff Steve3o!

Did any of us realize that Marvel and DC’s strongest hero was made from some form of radiation? Superman coming from Krypton and using Earth’s yellow sun to get his powers; and The Hulk got his from exposure to gamma radiation.One more thing we have never really seen either of these powerhouses really, really, angry enough to see what their top strength level could actually be. I would agree that the two of them versus Marvel’s and DC’s heroes/villians would be no contest Superman and the Hulk would wreck shop.
I think I should mention this to ramp the ante up a bit, In the DC/Marvel Crossover mag, when the Justice League took on the Avengers, Superman was given permission to weild Thor’s hammer; at the end of the battle Superman tried to pick up Mjolnir and he could not. I wonder if you DC’ers watched Hulk vs Thor or Ultimate Avengers animated movies (it’s also in some of the old MArvel comic books, the Hulk is the only person to ever lift Thor’s hammer without his permission (I can’t forget that Wonder Woman lifted Thor’s hammer with ease, only because of her connection with the God’s). So, if you were using like scenarios, you would ahve to say that the Hulk has Superman in the strength department on this feat alone. Thjis battle is dependant on many variables. Are we talking Silver Age Superman (current) or Golden Age Superman? Silver Age is close to his Golden Age in terms of power but not quite. Marvel and DC had Superman vs the Hulk and the Hulk couldn’t even move Golden Age Superman.
I would go for Superman since he never shows his true strenght. He always holds back and has taken even Darkseid (a God) out many times when he doesn’t hold back.

OK heres the deal. In terms of limitless strength and power, Hulk is by far the winner. Not only invincible at full rage, but getting stronger and stronger without end.
Superman is strong but his strength has a limit even if/when he would loose total control. He DOES NOT get stronger like the Hulk. All the sun does is give him his strngth back, but if Superman would be exremely low, it would take some time for him to recharge. Hulk wouldn’t give him that chance.
Im not saying who the ultimate winner is. There are MANY scenarios that could make either of them the victor. Here are a few.
Clowdy day and no sunlight, Hulk has Superman pinned on the ground and keeps whaling on him. Hulk is the winner because as he keeps whaling without stopping, his rage and strength increase to limitless and beyond, eventually knocking out or kiling Superman(if he even can be killed by physical force without giving him a chance to recharge).
Superman just knocking or flying the Hulk into space. No air. Superman winns.
These two are truly the strongest titans of their respected universe (DC and Marvel). Both have strenght that can not be matched as well as the will that is the driving force behind their strength.
Depending on what situation, what curcumstance, what limit you create in your scenario, any one of them could be a winner.

LIMITLESS says it all. If Superman has strength as maybe 3 Hulks, thats ok BUT, Hulk’s strenght continues to grow and it is not stopping, EVER, unlike Superman’s. Superman may be strong but he has got a limit. Now ppl could say ok, Hulk can get stronger than Superman. But just beacuse the Hulk has limitless strength that can far outmatch Superman’s dont assume that Hulk is automatically the winner. Superman has got many other strenghths and ways to get around the hulk. It could be hard because averything he would throw at him would be pointless if hulk is only getting stronger and stronger.

I’m not trying to be funny but the only way Hulk can beat Superman is if the Hulk goes back in time, before Kal el landed on earth, and smashed his crib. Because I’ll be serious with you, I don’t think with all the Hulk’s phenomenal power, he could have taken Superman even as a baby. (ka-el got his powers when he landed on earth as a child)
Now I know the hulk is scary. I mean with all this extrasensory powers and extra gland ability and insane strength. I know the hulk’s ability to do these things has something to do with his relentless emotion to HAVE HIS WAY (this is why he was able to grow the gland in the first place) and yes he is incredibly strong and he gets stronger with every emotional outbusrt. Superman is INVULNERABLE. There is absolutely nothing known and unknown that can defeat him. The myth that kryptonite is his weakness is just a metaphor to explain that he is indestructable because if you notice he has been almost killled by kryptonite more than once. Note the word ALMOST. He has been shackled with it in water, whilst it hunng on his neck in superman the movie, he has been zaaped by it in superman 3, he has been bombarded with it countless times in comics, and yet HE JUST KEEPS COMINNG BACK. If kryptonite couldn’t do the trick how on this planet or any other existence can the hulk do it?
Another important factor that most be noted to all of you is that this thing about Superman having a weakness in the form of his heart is another falsity, which I am surprised you all haven’t seen yet. Superman’s heart is actually his greatest strength. It was his heart that made him regain his powers in superman 2, it’s his heart that makes him make the right decisions and actually be the savior of a primitive planet, and whether you have noticed it or not, it is his heart that is the organ that the earths red sun metarphorically stands for. Remember what Jarel said; they only lack the light to show the way. Superman IS THE SUN, he IS this earth that he saves, he isn’t just a superhero, he is actually the embodiment of goodness, of light. This is why he keeps cominng up with so many different powers, this is why in no comic book or movie have you ever seen superman use all his speed or power; except once when he lost control and spun the earth round it’s axis….TO TURN BACK TIME. As in he became godlike just because he chose to do so. SUPERMAN doesn’t possess power he IS power. The beyonder, doomsday, the entirity of DC is but a tale in the long journey that superman is on; they are the things that he came to earth to experience as well as the humans he helps. His intelligence has already fortold this in the fortress of solitude, in the pod he came in as a child, in his everyday dealings with earthlings. He simply holds back, because holding back is part of the responsibility he must show. Long before spiderman’s great strength great responsibility slogan. Superman stands for more than truth justice and the American way. Superman stands for human kind and beyond. Kryptonite CAN and WILL kill Superman IF you expose him to it in strong doses over a longer period of time. The only reason why you never saw Superman truly dead in a movie is obvious, the film makers and writers for commix couldn’t,… no WOULDNT let someone like Superman just die. The script was specifically written for that dumb hooker to feel sorry for Superman which made her get into the pool and remove the Kryptonite shackles off his neck. What would the movie have been if he died?
Go back in time, rewrite the movie to JUST THAT.

Saying that kryptonite will not kill Supernman is like saying physical trauma can’t kill you. You CAN and WILL die if youre exposed to enough of it. Same goes for poison, burns, and whatnots. Yeah he is invanurable to earths physical matter (i.e. bullets, fire, lasers…on and on) but beacuse he was created, a weakness had to also have been created. Im pretty sure by now now you have watched enough movies and cartoons to realize that every Superhero who is created in our imagination has to, HAS TO have waeknesses and Super villans. Superman’s speed alone is enough to stagger hulk. Since he can fly, and unlike many other speedsters, take a hit from hulk, hulk is going to be in trouble. He is fast enough to not only dodge Darksieds omega beams, but use them to his Darksied. As admitted by the Hulk’s strengths feats, while he can get up to a pretty good speed, he has no superspeed, since quicker and more agile opponents have been able to exploit this. You think hulk being able to destroy the earth is something? Superman could crack the earth in half with far less effort than hulk did. He cracked one of Saturn’s moons in half when Lex Luthor became president because he was mad. Just because hulk has not died doesn’t mean he has never been defeated, i just mans that he is very luck he has never met anyone who managed to kill him. You mavel fans claim that dc’s heroes are overpowered, but since Hulk has never met his match, that takes a whole lot of suspense out of his fights. Hulk hit something. He hit it again, and again, and again, oh look, he got punched! Now.. oh he hit them again. Also, when you said that the hulk could easily beat the flash, I don’t think that you quite understand the magnitude of Flash’s speed. When he runs at near his full speed, he cannot be seen, and everyone around him are like statues, so, in the several minutes it takes for hulk to see and understand what is hitting him, try to throw a couple a punches, and finally think of making a shockwave, flash could have decided that hulk is too angerous to be kept alive, vibrate through him, and leave him nothing but a green stain on the ground.
That would’nt really play a big role in the fight. Superman still managed to beat hulk in the DC vs Marvel crossover. He could just instantly rip him apart. Hulk couldn’t do much against strength that starts off way stronger than his own, AND intense superspeed, not that Quicksilver crap, like Flash superspeed.
Everyone use your brain superman is not smart by any means when he fights he fights head on so if hulk and superman were to get into a fight it would be a very long battle one where superman would literally die from exhaustion. because even though both have impressive resumes holding up planets and punching holes through time and space the huge advantage hulk has is the fact that he has unlimted power the more the hulk gets frustrated the more damage he takes the more power he gains. Here is another huge disadvantage superman punches first and figures out a plan later so unless he runs away and figures out a weakness he will never ever defeat the hulk.
P.s Hulk is raw energy so the speed thing is not a big deal because he is just as fast. and he can create a necular exsplosion with just clapping his hands.
If you looked at the crossover fight, it had stipulations that DC did not apply to Superman, the first one to stay down for a few seconds was the one who lost; Superman got put down first, so he should have lost. That’s what you get when DC is in charge of the crossover plot. I think you forget that the Hulk has an instantaneous healing factor, he could be rippped in half and heal himself, Superman is strong but as soon as he hit the Hulk, the Hulk would immediately increase his strength, if what you are saying is true. The Hulk is capable of lifting 100 tons in his weakest state (not as the gray Hulk) so Superman would not beat him that quickly. Also, if you paid attention to the crossover mag, Supes conceeed tha the Hulk was the tougest, strongest being he had ever fought; and this was after the battles with Doomsday and Thor. I also keep wondering why you DC’ers think Superman would beat the Hulk, when he was killed by Doomsday. If his speed is such a factor, why didn’t he use it against Doomsday? Remember the Hulk is stornger than Doomsday, so I’m not feeling the ratonale. Also, one last note, Superman in all his power was not able to lift Thor’s hammer without his permission. You don’t know that. Hulk never actually has lost any limbs, or been seperated from any part of his body in any way. Since that has never happened yet, you can’t say that for sure. Also, Superman starts out WAY stronger than the hulk. Without even breaking a sweat, he managed to crack one of Saturn’s moons in half. He could destroy earth with almost no effort. It took a lot for hulk to just threaten the earth.
Also, Doomsday HAD superspeed, if you read the comic, you would have seen him and supes fighting in superspeed. Hulk was only able to lift Mjolnir because of his increasing, strength. I already said superman is WAY faster than Hulk, flying at speeds that were near lightspeed. Also, I said FLYING. This is something hulk cannot do. Superman could just fly away and let hulk calm down, then come back and freeze him or something. He could also immediately throw hulk into space at the begenning of the fight, since Hulk has no way of propelling his way through space, the fight would be over, even if hulk can now apparently breathe in space, he would still probably calm down. And banner cannot breathe in space. I just want to know how hulk could get around that. Superman can easily just break whatever planet they fight on, then, since he can fly, he has options. Hulk may be able to destroy the planet as well, but he would just have to wait until fortune pushes him into the gravitational field of a planet. Superman starts out being able to hold more than 40 quintillion tons. That beats hulks starting point of 100 tons. That means he can at the very least snap hulk’s neck. I know that wouldn’t kill him, but it has been done in the comics, and took him a few seconds to heal from it. By that time, superman could have ripped hulk to pieces, and ripped every one of hulk’s internal organs out of his body. I am not exaggerating. Luke, nice info, but if you look at the Hulks powers, he has superspeed also. You also forgot about the Hulk jumping ability, he jumped from Earth to Mount Olympus, to battle Hercules, so as long as the Hulk has a base to jump from he can and will make it to various places.
Well, jumping that far is quite impressive, but it doesn’t really change much. He may be able to jump really far, but it’s in only one direction. He cannot alter his direction. I can see him jumping at suerman, and superman dodging him. What then? Hulk’s at the mercy of gravity. Also, his superspeed is more like a truck’s. As he builds up his speed, his momentum carries him forward faster. In a straight up fist fight, he is slow enough for guys like wolverine to dodge around his fists. Superman can fly at the speed of light. That’s got to be at least a hole in hulk.

Just look at what I’ve been saying Andre. Superman already starts out at his top strength, and Hulk starts out at about 100 tons. Superman HAS contained a black hole in his hand, warmed up an entire planet with his laser vision as well as punching a hole in time. He could just rip apart hulk before he gets to a strength level that’s too much for him. Finally, the trump card, if worst comes to worst, Supes can just break whatever planet they are fighting on, and leave hulk floating in space.

In my eyes, someone like Doomsday or Superboy Prime could best him. And if you argue that Hulk is stronger than Doomsday, then let me tell you this. The marvel heroes couldn’t deal with Hulk, so they blasted him into space. The DC heroes couldn’t deal with doomsday, so they put trapped him at the end of time, and he STILL managed to escape. Also, Hulk’s feats of strength may be good, but I’m pretty sure punching a hole in time beats holding up the earth, and Hulk barely managed that. Supes could easily crack the earth in half without even thinking about it.

Very impressive, except for the part about the human torch, he sucks. Otherwise, I see that the Hulk would be a very serious challenge to supes. The one thing that you don’t seem to know is that doomsday is WAY better than hulk. For one thing, he CANNOT die. If you kill him with say, an antimatter gun, he’ll immediately come back to life, with the change that the antimatter option won’t work again. If superman managed to defeat him, then Hulk shouldn’t come as too much of a shocker too him.

You guys forget the proffesor hulk is a mix of the green hulk where he gets the bulk of his power, the grey hulk for his slick behavior, and banner mind. But I think the only real hulk is the savage one. The orignal, hulk at his weakess can lift 100 tons that’s his starting strength. He can heal him self faster then any other character bar none.
Well, knowing Hulk’s constantly growing strength, and and Doomsday’s resurection powers, that fight could concievably continue forever.
Also, those would probably be my four from Marvel, DC wise, I’d say Green Lantern, but Hal Jordan endowed with the spectre. Instead of Shazam, I’d throw in Firestorm and the Flash, taking out J’onn J’onnz. Martian Manhunter, while not my first choice, is certainly a force to be reckoned with. He is the most powerful telepath in DC comics, but the Flash is just too fast. I can hardly wait until 2012, when all these superhero movies are coming out. If the superspeed thing is true why does Superman have somany problems with Darkseid and Doomsday? Just looking at Supermans battles with those two tells me he will be seriously thrashed by the Hulk. Doomsday is an equivalent to the Hulk in many ways and he killed Superman and Darkseid takes it to Superman all the time, so you have to come with a different argument because the battles with Darkseid and Doomsdays speak volumes for the Hulk defeating Superman.

Prof Hulk isnt some made up Hulk like Composite Superman. He is the latest evolution. We are talking the Hulk of the day and the day is now. So we use the Hulk as he is now. Supes has the edge off the top. But we all know in any prolonged battle he loses. Heat vision .. cold breath.. cmon.. these are top tier Supers.. like throwing a bus at either one of them is going to do it. This really depends on the incarnation of each. If you take the STRONGEST version of the hulk (The Green Scar) and the STRONGEST version of superman. Superman would rape (look-up Superman-Prime from DC: One Million. Now if you take Strongest hulk versus New Earth Superman (cannon) the fight would be way to close to call. As said above Superman actively restrains himself so he does not destroy everything, and while the Hulk does not come out the cut as strong as Superman the hulk does have extremely potent Healing capabilities and he can get angry. And as the Green Scar he retains his intelligent and he knows how to fight using different weaponry. Now on Superman’s side IF he understood how powerful the Hulk was he could kill him in one blow but anyone who reads DC knows that Supes does not go for the kill,at least coming out the cut. Now as the fight goes on he would probably understand that he needs to go all out but by then the Hulk would be fighting on on Superman’s level. Now once both of these two powerhouses are fighting at full power the planet is as good as gone. Both of these fighters can fight for weeks, maybe even months. and they do not even need oxygen. And those who say supes could wait for Hulk to calm down are dumb-asses. Hulk does not have that weakness anymore. The ONLY possible way for any one of these heroes to beat the other is for one to get the others weakness. And that is more a matter of chance. More than likely it would be superman in this case, not because he is smarter but because Batman would study hulk, make a gamma-reducer (like Ultron did), and use it on the Hulk. The whole thing about Hulk’s unlimited strength is balderdash, since in all likelihood the green one would revert back to Bruce Banner before he got mad enough and hence strong enough to equal Superman in native strength. I find it also likely that Superman, being a fast study of his foes’ abilities, would know he have to unleash his awesome in full before Hulk could anger himself to the proper dimensions to give Superman a run for his money. Superman does things I have NEVER seen Hulk do. 200 Quintillion tons beats 100 billion tons by quite a long shot. Hulk holds up half the earth, Supes splits a moon of Saturn by himself. Supes is faster than flash. He moves beyond the speed of light. His strength is unmatchable after he spends time in the sun. And the list goes on.

If anyone would read marvel’s definition of the hulks powers you would see that he too has super speed. Its just that as he gets angrier and faster the power in his legs causes the ground to shatter underneath him with each step. So in theory not only could he easily become as strong as supes but he also can become just as fast in hand speed and reflexes thereby nullifying the speed factor. Hulk is in a class of his own, just as others stated the 300 quintillion or whatever tons supes can lift has never been presented to the hulk. Picking up Thor’s hammer isn’t really a test of strength. It’s about who is worthy and the Marvel writers obviously don’t want Superman picking it up. That’s not really an arguing point because it’s not about strength.

Hulks strength transcends everything. He hasn’t lifted the quintillion tons because it’s never been placed in front of him. Just as you stated, carter, the writers say he has limitless strength so there is no equal. Hulk is an indestructible force of nature and superman, with all of his outstanding credentials, will fall to him.
It’s not an argument of who’s strength is greater it’s about who would win a battle and having more raw strength doesn’t mean that someone would win.
Superman has unlimited strength? Superman uses his abilities(laser eyes or whatever, ice breathe, etc) on the hulk which basially only slow him down but gives superman the advantage but as we all know the hulk get angrier therfore his strength, speed and healing come into play. Supiess speed and flight make this a good fight cause he can pick hulk up and punch him acros the world and repeat but both sides of this should know that hulk won’t be out for the count.
That’s where your wrong. Raw strength is exactly what would determine the outcome. All of supes other powers are easily negated. It would come down to who could hit who harder, and hulk wins each time.

His other powers do matter. It doesn’t matter how strong the Hulk is if he can’t see or catch Superman to hit him. And don’t say that it didn’t help against Doomsday because Doomsday had Superspeed too.
Ok lets lay it down real quick. Superman is a great all rounder but no matter what he has nothing on hulk. Hulk has taken many energy blasts from characters emitting high amounts of energy or projectiles i.e Thor, Ironman, Dr Doom ect. So lets forget Supermans heat lazers eyes. Freezing the hulk has proven to be a fail at so many different times so forget Supermans cold breath. So whats it down to then, strength and speed. Hulks strength starts on par with supermans (for all you fools who think its lower) the angrier he gets its like a +5 for each of his skills, abilities and general strength not to mention speed and shock waves he may emit. Supermans is at a set amount, no increase unless he comes in contact with more yellow sun ray. Problem with that is if he has too much he will die. Hulks strength has gotten so high he both held and broke the f***ing space time continum with a single punch and yet still it hasnt shown to stop increasing. Hulk can adapt to ANY condition within an instant, if they were fighting near high traces of radiation harmful to both hulk would adapt and superman would be screwed. All in all it would be a good fight but no matter how you swing it even if superman tried to calm hulk down there is only one person that can truly calm the hulk and that is Betty Ross. Everyone else seems to be patronising towards him. Also if superman used his speed eventually hulks anger will enable him to catch him so theres still no argument. Either way you see it Hulk is victorious.

Exactly. Who is to say that hulk cant lift the however many quintillion tons that supes can lift? He hadn’t had to but he also hasn’t failed at doing something as simple as lifting. On marvel’s official website super-speed is listed in hulks powers. It states specifically he has the capacity for super-speed due to his increases in anger. He chooses to use leaping as a more effective way of travel because when he runs at super speeds the ground crumbles beneath his feet. Simply put, hulk has no limits where superman does. Once he hits that limit hulk will jus go harder and pummel him.
I would go with tie but more on Hulk for winner:
If battle took during day: Superman would win, he needs solar to stay full energy.
If battle took during night: Hulk would win, with superman no solar: losing energy and Hulk keep raging.
Most important of all and you all forget one thing: Hulk would win easy, even nothing will stop him if Superman said “I am the strongest there is.” There..oppppps. one hulk speed isnt unlimited he has a terminal velocity due to friction and iineffeciency build up as the floor can take only a limited amount of pounding from his legs which isnt up to quicksilver who is way slower than flash (superman is roughly flash speed). Superman toe to toe in the beginning is way stronger than hulk. hulk is strong but he cant lift continenta at base strength. remember superman lifted apokolips roughly 4- 5 times earth . also superman reaction time and mix and mash powers up will prove difficult for the hulk. hulk is ridiculously strong but he”s been taken down by wolverine. superman can only be defeated by wolverine level like character with strategy and planning not a fist fight.so i give it to superman

I never got the chance to read comic books cause where i’m from we dont have any,but i’ve seen cartoons,movies etc. so i’m gonna relate to those.
Luke you say that Hulk got hurt by Wolverine like it’s an enbarrassment but maybe u dont realize that there aren’t many superheroes or villains that can kill Wolverine,he’s more idestructible than Hulk or Superman.
There are a lot of things to take in consideration in a fight between Hulk and Supes beside their power,like people,intelligence,The Fortress of Solitude etc.
If they would fight in an area with people Hulk would have the advantage but Superman already has a big advantage in his intellect and he could also use the Fortress for help.
But if you put these guys on a planet with no inhabitants,with yellow sun,no kryptonite and for Superman to not know the real identity of Hulk so he can fight him without morality problems then i think that the chances for Superman to win are below zero.
Even if Hulk were to revert to Bruce Banner we all know it only takes a push for him to change into Hulk.
So i think that Hulk would win,no contest against Superman because his anger has no limits therefore his power has no limits and if by some miracle he would be able to use his intelligence then nothing would stop him.

Actually we’ve seen this fight, at the very end of World War Hulk. Hulk v Sentry.
For those not familiar with Marvel, The Sentry is the most powerful superhero in the Marvel universe. He’s a cracked out Superman if Superman ever realized just how scary his powers make him (what happens when you fly at light speed in earths atmosphere? ick.) .
They called in the Sentry, despite his objections, because he is the Ace in the hole, the only one who has more sheer raw power then the Hulk. When they clashed, the Sentry knew his opponent, knew what was at stake.
They fought.
They slagged half of midtown doing it, despite focusing all of their considerable power inward on each other. In the end, Robert (Sentry’s alter ego) thanked Banner/Hulk (’cause they had become one, balance form) and then passed out.
Superman wouldn’t, couldn’t be prepared for that fight. It’s not how he thinks, it’s not how he fights. Because at end of it all, Superman is a child’s dream( and the child in me will always love that), flying on wings of hope and honor. He has the strength to survive. But he was given it.
The Hulk is always prepared to fight, because he is always fighting himself. He is the monster, the nightmare inside of all. He is the anger, the frustration, the fear, the sense of injustice. He has the strength, not to survive, but to overcome.
When Superman has spent half his life shaking at the thought of what he’s capable of, and still get up and save the world, and getting punched in the face for his trouble, maybe then he’ll be strong enough to bet Hulk.
comparing poundage ain’t nothing because feats of lifting great weight and such is done on a regular basis and the weight scale stops at (in excess of)100 ton class because you don’t bother counting up pounds. let the comics speak or themselves. The Hulk is a raging monster powered by massive amounts of gamma rays. He does not get tired and physical stress just makes him generates(absorbing the ambient energy needed) more gamma power to fuel his strength. His state of mind contributes to the stress level also and we all now the sayings: Getting tired? The Hulk never tires!I can only get stronger! the longer hulk fights the stronger Hulk gets!The madder hulk gets the stronger hulk gets! Hulk Smash!! Hulk is strongest there is!!!
Wow the hulk cause supper man not fighting the hulk come on that would only make him more mad witch would make him more strong as it says up top hulk can withstand the sun so heat blast dont mater supper speed can let supper man get more hits but inturn make the hulk more strong an sense the more mad the hulk gets the more energy he gets so fighting him for long points of time would be no problem for the hulk but for supper man he would get tried over time and his freeze breath is usless beacuse the hulk can bust out or jump away from it

In a real fight between the two i dont think either hero would know each others weaknesses so pointing out that super man is vulnerable to kryptonite and the absence of a yellow sun or that the hulk cant breathe in space and needs anger, high emotion, to fight is unfair. if the two meet it would be pretty extreme circumstances, two different universes coming into contact, so i don’t think either will know much of anything besides the obvious about each other.
That being said a lot of the above scenarios wouldn’t happen. instead of being bias to your favorite hero i think we should think of a real scenario and stop posting hyped up stats that seem to be very circumstantial for example:
the super speed argument: obviously the hulk has strong legs but that is not what super speed is. Even if he can run 700 mph how fast can he accelerate to that speed? even if both heros have the same max speed the hulks overwhelming size cripples his ability to accelerate(change speed) in a small amount of space so superman can achieve a higher speed in a smaller amount of space due to his relatively small body but other argument suggesting that superman is faster then flash is ridiculous if the flash is vibrating his molecules then supes can’t beat him in speed
super strength arguments: if you take the defining characteristics(where their power comes from) of superman and the hulk both have unlimited strength but in a real world scenario superman will not have just absorbed a bunch of solar radiation when he goes to fight the hulk so the 2 or 3 hundred quintilion ton thing is circumstantial so the hulk would win in strength if superman fights him unprepared because he has a limit
Healing factor and other arguments: the hulk has fast regenerating abilities superman doesn’t it is that simple in a regular scenario if the two met hulk would have the advantage because eventually no matter how invulnerable or strong superman is the hulk would eventually reach or surpass his strength level and he would be able to hurt him regardless of super speed fatigue is a major factor for superman but not one for the hulk a side effect of cell regeneration is very good stamina

Alright ive been waiting for this. My money is on Hulk all the way. See the hulk has NO set limit of power, his power is his rage. And since there is basiclly no cap on Anger or rage, the hulk has pretty much endless power. See people on here are saying Superman could blind the hulk with his super speed. However the hulk has been known to have great reflexes and be very durable. If Superman were to fly at the hulk with super speed, the hulk could easily catch him and land bone crushing punches on him. And the more punches he throws the angrier he gets, which means every punch would be stronger. Also, Superman’s heat vision and freeze breath would be useless because the hulk has been able to withstand nuclear explosions, tempetures equal to the core of the sun, and he has even started to breathe water on occasion. Another thing the Hulk has unmatched enduranced. In WW Hulk he basiclly fought the whole Marvel Universe, and when he was done he barley broke a sweat. And even if Superman somehow injured the hulk, he can regenerate his tissue at an unbeliviable rate, making it almost impossible to hurt him. Overall the Hulk is basiclly Raw Power. He may not be able to take down people such as the Silver Surfer or Galactus, or people that have magic or cosmic powers, but I think he would beat Superman in a fight.
Nice one Les, I agree. In the crossover mag Superman hit the Hulk with the full force of his heat vision and the hulk did not blink. If the hulk can stand The Human Torch’s hottest Supernova ay 1 million degree’s and the Sun heat, Superman’s heat vision does not have a chance.
