The field of health care and nursing is the fastest-growing industry in the United States. As such, health care and nursing professionals are in high demand. Health-related programs include biomedical engineering, counseling, dental assisting, health care administration, surgical technologist, patient care technician, medical assisting, medical billing, and nursing.
Health care programs vary in length and classes may be available online as well as on campus. Typically, associate degrees take eighteen months to two years to complete, bachelor's degrees three to four years, and master's degrees one to two years (following completion of a bachelor's degree).
