As a graduate of our Medical Billing and Coding Diploma or Medical Billing and Coding Certificate, you can help start your career as a medical biller or medical coder and become a key professional in a healthcare facility. If you are a current healthcare professional, you can earn our Diploma or Certificate to increase your marketability in the workforce and gain additional skills for your current healthcare career.

Our fully online coursework prepares you to take the CCA certification exam offered by AHIMA so you can add to your healthcare professional credentials. You will learn how to code healthcare data using ICD and CPT coding principles and gain a thorough understanding of how these skills contribute to other healthcare areas. Through our virtual coding practicum, you will gain experience coding real medical records using real-world coding systems.

As you progress through your courses, you will learn to navigate a health record and the abstract information required to correctly code patient medical information.
