Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership: Higher Education Leadership

This doctoral-level degree program is designed for teaching professionals who are ready to rise to the challenge of leadership in today's complex and dynamic environment of higher education.
The program develops leaders capable of innovation, invention and discovery as well as the responsible application of current best practices to achieve organizational goals and objectives. This relevant and robust curriculum focuses on the major bodies of leadership literature and theory and identifies the most appropriate and effective applications to educational, business and organizational environments. Participants will develop academic and organizational research expertise through the study of statistics and research methodology.
The program of study is consistent with Grand Canyon University's mission to develop students who are global citizens, critical thinkers, effective communicators, and responsible leaders.
With the Emphasis in Higher Education Leadership, the program further prepares graduates to lead a higher education institution through strategy, financial management, and planning, both of the physical facilities and of the human resources within the organization. Participants gain valuable insight and understanding of the foundation and history, organizational needs, and learning environment of higher education. Graduates acquire the knowledge and expertise needed to effectively lead the colleges, universities and corporate educational departments of today and strategically plan for their future success.
