Associate of Science in Medical Billing and Coding
With the associate in Medical Billing and Coding degree program students receive training in insurance billing and medical coding as they learn the universal codes of CPT and ICD used in the health care industry to process claims and maintain patient's medical records. Courses will also include study of human anatomy and physiology, medical terminology and pharmacology, and common diseases and treatments. Graduates will also be taught the legal and regulatory HIPAA requirements to protect confidentiality and ways to implement security measures to meet the government standards.
