Bachelor's (BSCJ) - Forensic Science
The Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice (BSCJ) with a concentration in Forensic Science degree program provides learners a solid education in the history and development of the modern criminal justice system, and then introduces the non-scientific student to the field of forensic science through an exploration of its applications to criminal investigations, and clear explanations of the techniques, abilities, and limitations within the field of forensic science. Courses are taught by experienced faculty members with real-world experience in the criminal justice field as they cover applied forensic science techniques of criminal investigations, computer forensics where computers and computer technology play a significant role, and the professional practice of forensic psychology including assessment, treatment, and consultation within the legal system. Graduates will gain career-relevant knowledge that can immediately be applied in real-world professional situations to various opportunities in forensic investigative fields.
